“A Family of Brothers” is a new book about the “Fighting 26th,” the first New Brunswick battalion to go overseas during the first world war. Author Brent Wilson will discuss Restigouche men who distinguished themselves in battle, including Lt. Col. AEG McKenzie of Campbellton, who died while leading his men against he enemy and was considered New Brunswick’s most outstanding soldier during that war; and Harry Ferguson, also of Campbellton, shot by a sniper.
The book will be available. Photos taken by Ferguson will be on display.
