DESCRIPTION:Le bar Powwow d’Eel River est la façon dont les Premières nations célèbrent notre culture et préservent notre riche patrimoine. C’est le moment de se rassembler pour chanter et danser\, pour rendre visite à d’autres\, pour renouveler de vieux amis\, en faire de nouveaux\, pour admirer ou acheter les objets d’art et d’artisanat exposés. \nC’est le moment de remercier le Créateur et d’honorer nos anciens combattants. Le pow-wow a une signification sociale\, historique et spirituelle pour les membres des Premières Nations. Les chanteurs et les danseurs sont des figures importantes dans cette culture\, et les chansons sont de beaucoup de variétés et tiennent une signification spéciale. La plupart des danseurs vus au pow-wow sont des danseurs sociaux qui auraient pu avoir un sens différent dans les premiers jours. \nLe pow-wow est un moyen important de transmettre les traditions des Premières Nations d’une génération à l’autre. C’est aussi une excellente occasion pour tous de participer à un aspect dynamique et vital de la vie autochtone.

DESCRIPTION:The Eel River Bar Powwow is the First Nation way of celebrating our culture and preserving our rich heritage. It is a time to come together to join in singing and dancing\, to visit with others\, renew old friends\, make new ones\, and to admire or purchase the trade arts and crafts on display. \nIt is a time to thank the Creator and honour our veterans. The powwow has social\, historical and spiritual significance to First Nation’s people. Singers and dancers are important figures in this culture\, and the songs are of many varieties and hold a special meaning. Most dancers seen at the powwow are social dancers which might have had different meaning in earlier days. \nThe powwow is an important vehicle for handing down First Nation’s traditions from one generation to the next. It is also an excellent opportunity for all people to participate in a vibrant and vital aspect of aboriginal heritage.

Ce Challenge\, sera principalement de la course en sentier (10 km)\, du vélo de montagne (15 km) et du canot (8 km) entrecoupé de plusieurs points de contrôle. \nLes inscriptions sont ouvertes à tous! Il est possible de s’inscrire pour le défi sportif de l’été\, sur le site internet natureaventure.ca \nHoraire :\nEnregistrement de 7 h à 8 h (remise de la documentation\, trousse de course)\nVérification de l’équipement (vous devez montrer l’équipement obligatoire)\nDistribution des cartes marquées de la course\nEmbarquement dans l’autobus et départ à 8 h 15\nDébut du Challenge : 9 h\nRepas méchoui vous sera servi en fin de course\nDévoilement des gagnants et remise des prix vers 14 h (sujet à changement) \nL’activité doit être réalisée en équipe de 2 personnes. This Challenge will be mainly trail running (10 km)\, mountain biking (15 km) and canoe (8 km) interspersed with several control points. \nRegistrations are open to everyone!
